On December 28th 2010 KSS marked a very significant jubilee – 5 years of its existence, which was celebrated at the Kontinental Hotel with series of events: ceremonial session, New Year’s Humanitarian bazaar and cocktail. Many guests took part in our celebration, among which was the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy Mr. Spiro Ristovski, Mr. Rade Nenadik, representative from the Organization of Employers’ of Macedonia, Mile Boskov, President of Business Macedonia, President of CCM Zivko Mitrevski, Head of the Friedrich Ebert office in Macedonia Heinz Bongartz, Representative of the EU Delegation to Macedonia, Mr. Nafi Saracini, and many other guests, friends, partners, trade unionists, as well as media representatives. The Humanitarian bazaar at which food, jewellery, clothes, and other products, handmade by our members were sold, only made our jubilee more complete and interesting for the guests and media. The KSS is proud that the modest proceeds from sales of these products will bring a little New Year’s joy to the children from the SOS Children’s village and the Geriatric Home 13 November.
„Exactly 5 years ago, at the Universal Hall in Skopje, in the presence of more than a thousand delegates, guests, members, with big media coverage, the Founding Congress of the Confederation of Free Trade Unions (KSS) was held. The creation of KSS reflected a commitment to create a reformed and modern trade union which will truly represent the needs of its members. Today we mark our five-year’s jubilee and from this perspective we can freely confirm that we have accomplished a lot and we should be proud for not having diverted at all from the promises we have made to our members,” said President of the KSS, Rasko Miskoski, in his address at the ceremonial session. By decision of the Central Board of KSS, its President awarded a Plaque to Mr. Dojcin Cvetanoski, one of the founders of KSS and ex-President of SONK, in honor and gratitude for his key role and pledges for establishing and functioning of KSS.
The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Gjorge Ivanov and Minister of Defense Mr. Zoran Konjanovski also extended congratulations for our 5-year jubilee.
