On 17, 18, 19 February at Hotel Vago – Stip, a seminar was held of the Women’s Section of KSS on the topic of “Conflict settlement”. This seminar is one of the series of seminars held in partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. There were 25 participants from many branch unions of KSS. Trainer at the first seminar day was Ljiljana Gjorgioska, Advisor to the Macedonian Bureau for Development of Education. The topic tackled was “Definition and sources of conflicts.” The second day trainer was Gordana Bukrevska and the topic was “Conflict settlement in union organizations”.Both days work was organized in several workshops on the set topics, during which participants were given the chance to implement the knowledge acquired in practice. Participants concluded at the end that such seminars are of great help to participants in their union practice. |
From 28-30 October 2010 the Women’s Section held a seminar for its members in Probistip. The goal of this seminar was to discuss current topics related to discrimination and mobbing at the workplace, as well as for effective communication in union work as pre-requisite for accomplishing union goals. The seminar was organized in partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, office in Skopje. Around 30 women were present in the seminar, mainly from Eastern Macedonia, representing most branch unions of KSS. Trainers in the first part of the seminar were members of the NGO “Centre for Perma Culture” from Shtip, who focused on the topics of mobbing and discrimination, legal regulations etc.

In the course of October KSS is conducting the second cycle of educational seminars for 2010 in partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, office in Skopje. From 8-10 October in Struga seminar was held for the Youth Section of KSS on Teamwork and Leadership. The goal of this seminar was introducing young trade unionists into the skills and techniques of leadership necessary for effective representation of members in the base and identifying their leadership potentials.
